So yesterday, my elementary besties and I went out for a date. It all started with my bestie Kenn asking us out for a date. He messaged us. He asked me if I was in town (They already knew that I'm a busy med student that's why they have to ask me first if I was available). I responded yes and when already settled, we planned to meet at 2 pm.
We usually not see each other often since we have been quite busy with our separate lives and when time permits, we actually plan to see each other.
I got late and arrived almost 3 pm already. That's because I wasn't able to sleep at night and only had 3 hours of sleep. Plus it was raining yesterday and I thought of our date wouldn't proceed.
And so we met at the mall, I was surprised when we were walking towards the jeepney terminal cause I thought we would just be eating at a cafe in our town. But to my surprised, we ate at our usual hangout place which was 2 towns away from our town. I even agreed when he recommended the cafe Been There Cafe because I thought it was the cafe here in our town the Mr. bean Cafe. Hahahaha!
Food has always been our common denominator. It would always be our go-to bonding while chitchatting with each other. When we were already settled down, we took our orders and while waiting, we catch up on the things we missed on each other's life. We literally were just updating each other on our life happenings.
Jenny and I ordered matcha latte for our drinks and Kenn on the other hand, ordered Caramel macchiato (I'm not sure about this. Hahaha!). Jenn and I ordered rice meals while Kenn ordered pasta for himself and treated us with some pizza.
Fortunately, the waiting time was just quick and we got to enjoy our food already.
We stayed at the Cafe for almost two hours just chatting with each other and decided to walk around the area for a bit.
They both went to the same school during SHS and we decided to visit. We literally just walked going there just to relax our tummies from what we ate. We took some photos and afterwards, went home already.
What I like about our friendship is that even though we parted ways during highschool, we never really got to forget each other. I would say that it's a low maintenance friendship because we don't actually require each other's time all the time and we would just hangout whenever we have the time to.
All in all, it was a lovely time being with them again after a long time. Kenn just graduated and Jenny will be graduating, it was like their graduation celebratory afternoon meal.
