I love having my work days off in the middle of the week. My son and I had the opportunity to go and try out a spot in the middle of the woods that a friend of mine told me about. In the US, there is something called BLM land, or Bureau of Land Management land, which is publicly owned land. That means if you are a tax payer, you can use this land for free.

Many people use this land to come out and shoot their guns, and that is exactly what we did. This particular place is technically a road but has been made unpassable by fallen trees and such over the years that people have turned it into a shooting alley.

My son recently got a Glock 19 9mm and I just got a little Ruger LCP .380 pistol that I haven't fired yet, so we were itching so go let off some steam in the form of heavy metal projectiles. I also brought out both of my .22's. My pistol is a Taurus TX22 and my rifle is a Mossberg 715T which is made to look like an AR-15. I LOVE shooting that rifle, and yes, I am one of those weird ones that my preferred caliber of bullet is a .22 for many different reasons. When I move to the farm, I am planning on getting a full on AR-15 (.223) or AR-10(.308) so that I can actually hunt with it, or seriously protect my property, but I can still do that with a .22 too... Just saying, lol. It can obviously do some damage.

Anyway the best part was just being able to get out in the woods with my son, shoot the shit while shooting some shit, lol.

Anyway... MERICA! LOL

Be Cool, Be Real, and always Abide!
