One of the biggest downturns we face in the crypto space is the volitility of the price of our beloved cryptos. This is also something that the SmartCash communtiy wishes to help eradicate. So how do we get rid of these massive fluctuations in our markets? Well we put our investment into something Smart.
SmartCash has a program known as smart rewards. So what are smart rewards... well they are just that, a reward. A way of saying here you go crypto investor, here is a reward for not moving your SmartCash. It works like this. You must essentially "stake" at least 1000 smartcash in your wallet and leave it there. It is not actually staking as it does not verify transactions but it is like staking in that you cannot move your SmartCash from said wallet if you wish to receive rewards. These rewards occur once a month as a snapshot is taken of all wallets on the 25th of each month and on the 25th of the next month you receive your reward. Simple as that. Just have at least 1000 smarts in your wallet before or by the 25th and you will receive your percentage of the reward.
The rewards are paid out from the mining block rewards in which 15% of all block rewards are allocated to be used for smart rewards. By doing this SmartCash hopes to bring stability (fungibility) to the price of their coin. By offering rewards for holding your coins brings incentives to the community to create a reserve of SmartCash. The reserve is not held by one person or in one place but instead is held by all members of the smart community that wish to hold their coins.
As we have seen in these last few weeks, crypto's as a whole have been trending downward at an unsettling rate. Yet over this time period we have seen smartcash grow in overall market cap value and the spot value for the coin has stayed relatively stable, especially when compared to most other coins on the market.
SmartCash has a future and its future is bright. One could almost say it would be fairly "Smart" if we all took a long hard look at all the great things that SmartCash has to offer.
