LittleBit loves snuggling on top of humans, in their lap or on their tummy. Much of the time, she lies down on her tummy so she can look around the room if any noise presents itself for inspection. Sometimes, though, she lies on her back and tucks her little front legs up over her chest. At those times, she looks like a little baby, lying there, ready for tummy-rubs!
She will often close her little eyes and just bask in the feelings, totally in sync with the bliss she feels during those times. It is so pecious and sweet!
Cats — and most animals, really — are definitely "in-the-moment" creatures. Perhaps they can teach us more than we can imagine. This reminds me of a meme my sister-in-law @doana told me about several years ago. I went looking for it online and found it. It serves as a perfect illustration of the difference between being mind-full versus mindful.

Sadly, the person who created this wonderful illustration did not sign it. There are so many sites online that are using this image that it is virtually impossible to cite the true, original source. Even blogs that try to cite the source give links to another blog that didn't say where they got it. However, one of the sites does have a fabulous article about mindfulness, so that is the one I will cite, for anyone interested in something good to read on the subject. Even though the article was written in 2016, the information therein is timeless:
