"Justice" Silver Round

"Justice" is first of the rounds in a new series from Silver Shield, designed by sculptor Heidi Wastweet, called the "Four Cardinal Virtues." I obtained this bullion round from Golden State Mint, and they describe the obverse (front) of this coin: "Lady Justice feels divine radiance of justice emanating from within."

As with most of the rounds in my collection, I chose this one for the feminine imagery and energy portrayed. To me, the word on the observe was quite incidental.

This is a "bullion round" — not a "coin" — because it was created by a private mint as an item for investment /collection purposes, and not as legal tender issued by a government.

The reverse (back) of the round features the Silver Shield symbol, superimposed by a flaming sword and flames near the rim, and is stamped "1 TROY OUNCE .999 PURE AG," where "AG" is the chemical symbol for Silver (from the Latin Argentum).

I love the peaceful, contented expression on her face and the lovely details in the flowing locks of her hair!

Regarding the "Four Cardinal Virtues" series as a whole, Golden State Mint says:

Justice, Prudence, Temperance, and Courage mark the four essential traits for a virtuous life. They mark each of the four psychological archetypes each of us must master as well.

Courage is the trait of the Warrior Archetype.
Prudence is the trait of the Sage Archetype.
Temperance is the trait of the Lover Archetype.
Justice is the trait of the King Archetype.

Each person must develop and harness all of these traits if we are to unleash our inner power.
