Important notes:
Thank you to all who participated in last week's prompt
| My family secret
My father did not mention to my mother that he had impregnated that woman until much later. I was already born and my parents already had a new life, but that revealed secret made my mother very angry and that's when the displeasure and verbal fights between them began. | |
![]() | From Secrets to Strangers
I lived a cliche life, like the one we read about in our romantic novels. The one where the girl falls hopelessly in love with her brother's best friend and then the story proceeds from there, they encounter a little turbulence and things work out in the end. |
![]() | Happy moments with her
She is always sitting at the front in classes for lectures. Most times I try to get closer to her by having my seat next to her. She never knew my heart and feelings about her. She is just dedicated to her academics. How I wish she could see through my heart. |
![]() | Secrets are secrets until it is told
However, I never gave a hint that I had a crush on him, the only thing I did was to prepare very well for the class so that I could answer questions in class, because he always proved that he knew it all. |
Our third place winner is , with the story:
That was my hint that food was still on its way and I understood the situation, but my stomach had a brain of its own and all the accolades and adulation of my numerous fans would not satisfy my hunger. My great night was teetering into a hunger stricken one. So I left the backyard, strolling confidently into the kitchen as a predator would enter his favorite part of the bush.
Our second place winner is , with the story:

We were a group of three and each of us loved fantasy movies. More precisely, animated movies where the characters have superpowers to fight enemies and save the city. Over time, this passion became an unbearable wild obsession. We started fantasizing about having our own powers and decided to think hard about how we could achieve our fantasies.
Our first place winner is , with the story:

The other side of the roof was called planet Holt. It was so cold that it reminded me of the Rebel Alliance base from the Empire Strikes Back. There I kept Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Chewbacca. They were the guardians of the attic crawl space. Here time stood still. There was no school. There was no homework. There was no scolding or nagging.
Celebrations are definitive parts of life. Having something to celebrate often adds fun and purpose to life. On the other hand, a celebration that erks can be reason for depression.
This week we ask you to use the word celebrate or celebrations to conjure a personal story.
