There is a moment where your heart stops and sinks into your kidneys when you are suddenly awoken by a bug, especially if it is moving and on your bare skin.
My husband wouldn't wake up to my screams. I was left to deal with this unknown creepy crawly. I flicked it off and heard a familiar thump, a hard shell hitting the wall.
I dared to look and saw this...
This is what we call a shongalolo, a worm with a hard shell and thousands of little feet. Now I don't find them terrifying but i do not appreciate being woken up by one.
I let the worm outside and it went it's merry way. This morning I was sure to give my hubby a look of disapproval for not coming to his wife's rescue.
