🎄In The Spirit! (Contest Results)🎅

Were you a good boy or girl this year? Did you get everything that you had on your list of wishful hopefuls? Did you send it to Santa? Did that little Elf on the Shelf jump around your house causing mischief and mayhem while trying to blame it on the kids?

So, we ran a photography contest called 'In The Spirit' over the course of this past week. It was designed to be a fun way to get the holiday cheer flowing in and about the chain and in your hearts. I do believe it worked for some people!

We just wanted to see photos of your decorations! They could have been Christmas decorations or your tree, Kwanza this or that, your menorah or dreidel, your LEDs, whatever and what not you could have thought of to dress up your surroundings with the holiday spirits. All people had to do was:

1. Create a post highlighting your decorations.
2. Tag the post with #thealliance and #inthespirit.
3. Drop a link to it in the comments below so we can see it!

Perks For Entering

1. All that follow the instructions above will be sent at least 2 HBI.
2. Your post will be voted on by the fam!
3. The favorites (or maybe all?) will be compiled in a post to let everyone see what we see.
4. All 'winners' (3 maximum) will be assigned as 10% beneficiaries in the winner's post next week.
5. A grand prize may or may not be given to anyone or no one. 😜

We actually had a better turnout than expected in comparison to previous challenges and contests we've done. We had seven total qualifying entries that we have been smiling about over the week. 2 HBI has been sent to @wesphilbin, @nahupuku, @irenenavarroart, @multifacetas, @wwwiebe, @ciresophen and @silverd510. Not going to lie, it is pretty tough to pick a top three, but believe we have it narrowed down to the ones we like the best. So, here's what we came up with:

3rd Place (+ 5 $HIVE): @wwwiebe

Apart from the spooky scary skeletons, there was one photograph in his spirited post, that really got us ooh-ing and aah-ing. Seeing a Christmas village arise with the setting of the tree and taking over the entertainment center and entire wall was intense. If the population of that little villa remains unchecked, I dare say, that next year, there will be elves hanging from the ceiling and skeletons climbing in through the windows! Loved it!

2nd Place (+ 10 $HIVE): @silverd510

Just wow. The dog you see in this picture is named 'Peanut'. She stole our hearts with this pose under the mantle and probably melted all the snow within a hundred miles of that picture. For absolute cuteness alone, this post easily earned a spot in the winner's circle and we hope that Peanut had a very Merry Christmas and got all that she was hoping for. Like a giant bone. Or some new chewies. Or some yummy scrumdiddly jerky treats. Or maybe just a ball. I bet she had a great one!

1st Place (+ 25 $HIVE, 1000 $PIMP & 135 $LUV): @multifacetas

I love the message this one sent to everyone out there on Hive and beyond. In this post, she recalls being 'In the Spirit' from her own childhood and how that love and warmth has been instilled in her to bring it now to her family continuously over the years. This one also found a special place with us because a lot of the decorations are home made! Did you ever make any decorations in school? I know the ones my kids make me are my favorites. They aren't made in a factory and mass produced, but made with hands that love you and you love back. Congratulations on a post that made us all super warm and fuzzy and gave us so much spirit to share and spread around with joy!
