Most apartment owners don't allow dogs or cats and here are some of the reasons why. Cats can be very bad on using litter boxes, not only using them but tenants will normally dump it out somewhere in the yard. Cats claw doors, blinds, walls, carpet and pretty much anything they can touch. You also really can't get the smell of cat piss out of carpet. These damages can make it really hard to rent to your next tenant or become very costly to replace.
