About Last Night

I hustled up to the city center on a bike three miles to be at the new gallery opening. I did my part-time day gig for a couple hours, so the Fed's tax me on wages and not crypto (hehe) and showed my support.

It came off the heels of missing Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, at Harvard early last week. I mean, folks know that's a big deal, right? That's like if the inventor of the cheeseburger showed up at the convention held by the founders of all the big burger joints in the world: Burger King, McDonald's, Shake Shack, Whataburger, Smashburger- I digress.

I wasn't about to miss chopping it up with old friends and new faces, especially as, movers and shakers like to see and be seen.

Familiar Faces, Repeat Intros

Pellas Gallery on Newbury St. in Boston has featured many events, including a historic grand opening in February of last year.

Safe to say, I know a couple people, who know a couple other people. More importantly, however, remains the imperative of building despite low attention on the space. Everyone seems to become arbiters of high law as it concerns technology.

"Elon's manipulating DOGE!"

Sadly, there's no penalty for possessing a mind as malleable as Play-Doh.

Simply put, more eyes care about negative headlines- a random person made so much money and lost it, an exploit lost a large amount of funds, or a visible figurehead face charges for criminal activity behind the scenes.

While some attention span's are fickle, the mission remains laser-focused on moving mountains: the attainment of financial freedom, the ubiquity of alternatives to the status quo, and the education of the misrepresented and malcontent.

Enjoying The Arts

Similarly, where profit exists, people attempt to maximize. Little do they, perhaps if they satisficed, or accepted 'good enough' they might actually retain some created wealth. Instead, they rather 'bet the farm' on a "sure-fire, foolproof" plan to win big.

I haven't met a damned one of them to make that happen. Anyone successful in this business, or any for that matter that I've met, has worked hard for a grip of time, with no expectation of reward in sight.

Arts, for example, are hardly wares to be peddled for fortune and fame. These things simply don't resonate- and attempts to recreate them also fall flat wickedly. Communication of self-expression triumphs over all, no matter how salient things you think are bad, feel to you.

"How is this person famous?"

"Why is this on the radio?"

Not for nothing, a fair bit of work went into any piece you may or may not criticize, so remember, before you comment, commit. Could you produce what you deem to be so valueless? I'll wait.

Moving on, I was taken aback by how David, gallery producer at Pellas, consistently finds impressive work with which to share and drive attention towards.

I am also taking notes in order to increase the scope of my artwork as well. The world's a big place. So much more to see, so much more to do...

Favorite Works

These pieces below speak to me, as they highlight portraits in the midst of what appears to be flower petals. Rather than cloud your interpretation, I leave the viewing to you.

The Community

might be the most important aspect of all this. Not alone, do we people stand. Each of the individuals pictured here, on this platform, across the globe have a reason for adopting this technology. 50 million Americans have a reason for owning some type of cryptocurrency. The president of El Salvador has a reason for removing all taxes on innovations in tech.

Sometimes, I let the opportunity blind me and I forget what I started for. To be able to buy a cheeseburger. There's so much more to it than, making money, or being seen, or joining fancy clubs. These people all have hopes and dreams like I do, and like myself, they are betting on blockchain.

Final Words

My attendance to these events and presence on the scene only stand to balloon. I reconnected with another friend and we discussed art, plans and ambitions to grow even bigger. I'm proud of the community of creatives, developers, art dealers, and owners, people like you, and people like me all striving for what we believe in.

From the bottom of my heart, I am grateful for the opportunity. What a time to be alive.
