I just felt a little bit pressed the other day, but I'm in a state of flow, certainly. I write about implications of technology in work and fold clothes at the workwear clothing store at the mall down the clock.
So why am I so frustrated?
My dreams are interrupted by the ten minute timer letting me know the break I'm allotted in my four shift... is over.
The stark contrast between working at what you love and working at what pays you is like the sunshine after a springtime squall.
Here, a manager about my age or younger tells me to take a break-
Asks me why I flatten the shipping bags before-
Reminds me my break is only 10 minutes-
and myriad other things really bring out a black, dripping fury. How might I temper these emotions?
I know myself. I understand I'm someone who doesn't appreciate micromanaging- but I think of the needling coming from my siblings (who also irk me from time to time.)
I know that while this job serves me at the moment, it is not where I plan to stay at all. In fact, I have ambitions greater than I can put into text, but I hone the skill everyday as I write my story.
Long story short, I'm finally joining the cadre of cool folks building. I was a creator type for six years. Now, I'll begin by building. Small start, of course, but I want something to help me scrape data. Maybe I can find some insights that help me leverage the market. The next three years will be defined by the skills we hone.
Why bother? Because I have things I care about:
These tenets make up the fiber of my being, whether it be tolerating needling co-workers or taking my written word into a novel, or visiting places I have not ever before at picturesque times of day.
Fretting over petty disagreements just isn't the way, though sometimes, we feel compelled to "discipline the nannygoats."
I don't have much else to say, so let me show you this.

Your boy gets to dive into all things content creator economy on a big stage. Who better than a 20 something year old who fumbled about web3 for six years, getting scammed, selling NFT's, supporting DAO's and the wannabes? I can't name anyone else.
It's these moments that I step back to take in. It might be raining, clouds covering the sky, but the color, is all there. We're building our dreams in living color.
A contemporary once said, "We develop by seeing beauty in the negatives." That was a true statement.
