Por aquí, gracias a Dios, hemos estado muy bien compartiendo en familia. La semana pasada empecé mis vacaciones de mi trabajo de oficina, porque en casa siempre hay trabajo que hacer y, bueno, estos días he estado descansando a ver si esta semana empiezo con toda la mejor actitud en mis actividades de la costura.
Por aquí les comparto unas imágenes del día domingo, que fue un día bastante movido. Desde temprano nos levantamos para ir a la iglesia, como hacemos habitualmente; la misa estuvo bien bonita. Se estaban celebrando los 29 años de vida sacerdotal del padre José Gregorio, quien es nuestro párroco en esta iglesia Nuestra Señora de Coromoto.
Ese día también empezó mi princesa 
Ese día también había misa por la tarde y un recibimiento a los que hicieron el retiro de Emaús; en este caso los caballeros, y estaba el papá de una amiguita de Arianna y ella quiso ir a acompañarla. Así que la dejamos en la iglesia mientras que Ambar y yo nos fuimos a la funeraria porque fuimos a darle el pésame a una querida amiga cuya mamá había fallecido. De verdad que fue una noticia demasiado inesperada porque pocos días antes estaba bastante sana. Pero bueno, para morirse solo se necesita estar vivo, como dice el dicho. Estuvo 15 días hospitalizada con problemas del estómago; por lo menos Dios le había regalado 77 buenos años y dejó todo su amor y cariño para recuerdo de todos los que quedaron.
Cuando salimos de ahí, nos fuimos al centro comercial, hicimos unas compras y luego nos fuimos al parque mientras hacíamos tiempo para que Arianna terminara la actividad que había en la iglesia. Su papá se llegó hasta el parque; Ambar jugó un rato y se montó en varias atracciones, disfrutó muchísimo, saltando.
Luego nos fuimos a la iglesia a buscar a Arianna; allá aprovechamos para tomarnos unas fotos. Esa pared rústica que pueden apreciar es parte de un castillo de acá de la ciudad, un lugar muy bonito, pero que estaba cerrado; sin embargo, estos son los alrededores de la Basílica Menor de Santa Inés.
Luego nos fuimos a casa, no sin antes pasar por la panadería a comprar unos ricos panes y así no hacer comida porque era bastante tarde y, como nos habíamos comido unas torticas en el parque, no había tanta hambre.
Y bueno, amigos, esto ha sido todo por hoy. Tenía tiempo que no les contaba sobre un día de nuestras vidas; para mí es un placer hacerlo y compartirlo con ustedes.
Nuevamente deseo que pasen un mes de septiembre maravilloso. Empezamos el último cuatrimestre del año, espero sea de muchas bendiciones y alegrías para todos. Gracias por visitar mi blog, espero nos veamos pronto por aquí.

Over here, thank God, we’ve been doing great, spending time together as a family. Last week I started my vacation from my office job—because there’s always work to do at home—and, well, these past few days I’ve been resting so I can start this week with the best possible attitude toward my sewing projects.
Here are some photos from Sunday, which was quite an eventful day. We got up early to go to church, as we usually do; the Mass was really beautiful. They were celebrating Father José Gregorio’s 29 years as a priest; he’s our pastor at this church, Nuestra Señora de Coromoto.

That day there was also an afternoon Mass and a reception for those who had attended the Emmaus retreat—in this case, the men—and the father of one of Arianna’s little friends was there, so she wanted to go with her. So we left her at the church while Ambar and I went to the funeral home to offer our condolences to a dear friend whose mother had passed away. It really was such unexpected news because just a few days earlier she had been in fairly good health. But well, as the saying goes, to die, you just have to be alive. She was hospitalized for 15 days with stomach problems; at least God had given her 77 good years, and she left behind all her love and affection as a memory for everyone left behind.
When we left there, we went to the mall, did some shopping, and then headed to the park while we waited for Arianna to finish her activity at church. Her dad met us at the park; Ambar played for a while and rode several rides—she had a blast jumping around.
Then we went to the church to pick up Arianna; while we were there, we took the opportunity to snap a few photos. That rustic wall you can see is part of a castle here in the city—a very beautiful place, though it was closed; however, this is the area surrounding the Minor Basilica of Saint Agnes.
Then we headed home, but not before stopping by the bakery to buy some delicious bread so we wouldn’t have to cook—it was pretty late, and since we’d eaten some pancakes at the park, we weren’t that hungry.
Well, friends, that’s all for today. It’s been a while since I’ve told you about a day in our lives; it’s a pleasure for me to do so and share it with you.
