Just a quick check in, explaining why I am starting a Power Down cycle.
I still believe in the future of Steemit. This shouldn't be taken as a sign of bad faith. This community is one of the best I have seen in the crypto space, and every day it allows non-techy folk to earn their own Bitcoin. That is very exciting to me.
However, the college season is starting back up, and I am going to be less able to upvote quality content. Therefore, I take it as my responsibility to use this value in more productive areas.
My first power down payout will come in a week's time, and will continue until my SP is empty. In the event that I get more free time and wish to introduce Steemit back into my attention span, I will move funds to refill my SP accordingly.
In this fashion, Steem power has become a unique way for me to demonstrate how active I am on the platform.
