Lelembut
Indonesian people in general refer to Lelembut as ghosts, demons, devils, scourges and so on - Not only the name, each region also has a variety of forms and figures of different Lelembut.
My fondness for something related to mystical things prompted me to illustrate the figure of the Lelembut in my own style - where I live discussing mystical things has become something that is not strange, apart from stories from ancestors and also mystical events in the local village - witchcraft, shamanic practices and hereditary beliefs.
yep, let me introduce three Lelembut figures :
Genderuwo is a Javanese myth about a type of Jinn or human-shaped creature resembling a large and stocky ape with reddish black skin, perhaps outside Indonesia called Bigfoot whose body is covered with thick hair that grows all over body.
Genderuwo live in families and groups also have a leader. they also sometimes like to tease humans, such as being able to disguise themselves as people we know.
Kuyang, Krasue, or Palasik is a folklore about a demon in the form of a human head with body contents attached without skin. can fly in search of baby blood or female blood after childbirth - in some versions, kuyang is someone who seeks black magic and looks for his prey to sacrifice. This creature is known to the people in Kalimantan, Indonesia.
Jenglot is a doll that has varied sizes, there is no scientific proof that Jenglot is a human body that changes shape - but based on stories circulating in Indonesian people, Jenglot is a recluse who studies black magic so that his body shrinks and changes shape to be scary and has long fangs and claws - also commonly used by shamans to injure and kill someone because of violent behavior - they really like human blood.
