For most people it had been a while since they last bought a new laptop or set of computer.
It's interesting how steemit can make you invest in it.
I have most of friends who were doing so badly with their phones, thanks to steemit that they were able to buy some powerful and decent phones.
A brother of mine bought a laptop just to do steemit. Obviously he is going not to just steem on it, but glad steemit brought the whole idea.
Most people who are not tech enthusiasts undermine the power of a good laptop until it starts earning them some bucks.

A good laptop is so productive when doing serious work on steemit, i mean actually any work on steemit.
It will always make you to want to work more, it's even more interesting if you bought it from steemit itself. I have seen people buy laptops.
A friend of mine has an idea of mounting large monitors in his work room to tell him the price changes in cryptos. This is the guy that had never bought atleast a 32" inch screen in his entire life. But there he was making such a plan
His dream work desk was sort of like this.
He might achieve it, he is earning some good money now.
Steemit has really done wonders.
Omg another friend of mine who had never bought a smartphone decided to get one. He was using a small feature phone that has no name. Nothing is written on his phone.
I know you might be wondering what happened to him. I also don't know but this guy had stubbornly refused to buy a smartphone. Fortunately Steemit was the trick and next week he is going to purchase one, a good phone.
I know of most steemians who have adjusted their technology to fit the money making class.
Some have worked on their wifi networks, bought monitors, refrigerators, phones, laptops. And the influence has been steemit.
if you have adjusted your technology for steemit. I need my upvote and let me know below
I have a man at our neighborhood who still uses a nokia asha 200, i ran out of things to tell him but seems like i have gotten exactly what to tell him.
