With heavy rain, I knew that Westcliffe falls would have great flow, but I was more interested in its sister falls. Cliffview falls (in the west end of Hamilton Ont.) that only has flow in the spring thaw and when we get rain.
I started to hike to Cliffview falls at the base of lower Westcliffe falls (both falls connect here).
Very quickly into the hike I realized that there was not going to be a safe way to get there. No trail which is usually fine, but not when it is very slippery mud and loose rocks. So I turned around and put the drone up while there was a break in the rain.
The first two shots are of Westcliffe falls and the third is Cliffview falls.
As I raised the drone up to get shots of both, low clouds started to move in while fog lifted up out of the trees.
When I turned the drone to bring it back, I got a great view, half covered in cloud. Such a cool thing to see!
