17K steps and a grumpy toe. My Actifit Report Card: May 26 2026
Today I left the CitizenM hotel in Glasgow. Honestly it was not worth the money. Tiny little rooms, there was no AC and, well, the people were good but the vibe was just not me.
Kind of wish I had more time to see the city but a hospital visit ate a day.
So first up was walking to the bus station. Only 300m so barely even a walk.
On the walk I saw..
...
Really expensive gas and even more expensive diesel.
Brick houses that I thought were cool but people who live here would probably say there were just regular houses.
And...
Lots of green grass and forest which made me think of home.
Then I got to Edinburgh. Found the hotel really easily and now know it will be easy to get to the airport in 36 hours when my vacation is over.
But the hotel room?
It is 8x as expensive as the place I had in Indonesia just a few months ago and not nearly as nice. Not even breakfast or discount on hotel food.
But the location was beautiful. Right in the center of town cost to all the sights.
The first place was a beautiful church. St Mary Episcopalian Cathedral. Surprisingly only about 150 years old but big and beautiful.
Then it was time for lunch and we had a very good Indian restaurant lunch.
Now I could talk a lot about each place that I went but let's say I walked the entire royal Mile, went to numerous thrift stores with my wife, went to Parks and other sights and about halfway through I had a booster but my wife really wanted to keep going.
It was beautiful but my your was saying "enough" so I was a little grumpy.
And here are pictures.
Tomorrow I'll probably go to some of the places and get proper names and descriptions.. but today I'm just a little too tired.
Thanks for dropping by
