Often misinterpreted and misunderstood
One-syllabic word
Sad to see it scarce in the neighborhood
Considered as the greatest virtue
Yet it could be fake rather than true
It goes beyond word of mouth
Neither is it restricted to the south
I thought it was about the looks
The curves, edges and physique
I thought it was limited to what I read in books
But it's more than the sound of music
I thought it was a temporary emotion
Thought it was just in mere words
I thought it was centered on attraction
Thought it was only about what I saw on boards
But then I learnt its true meaning
Indeed, it was revealing
I had to change my wrong notion
And launch forth in the right direction
Love is patient
It is kind
Love is forgiving
It is sacrificial
Love is not self-seeking
It is not proud or rude
Love is not easily angered
It does not envy
Love takes no pleasure in evil
It always speaks the truth
Love always hopes
It always perseveres
Grasp it!
