This artwork caught my attention in school and I couldn't help but take a photograph of it.
It was a student's creation and I was struck with awe.
The art work speaks of the ibibios and their culture. It actually centers on how colorful their tradition and native attire is.
Whenever a festival is held,the ibibios dress in this manner and dance around with so much enthusiasm and passion.
It's always amazing watching such festivity. It's been a while since I witnessed their dance and I think I must have forgotten some steps but looking at the image I think I could move a feet lol.
The dancers look amazing and the painter really deserves some credit.
It really reminds me of the ibibio cultural dance and it's people.
I've been away from cultural activity but this and getting to see this made me think of going back lol.
The art as shown here displays the looks, dressing of the people and the dance just as it is in the physical.
The cultural displays of the ibibios are very colorful. Whenever a festival is held, it's always lit because people come from far and near to watch amazing displays of cultural talent.
The moment is always an epic one because people go back to their different houses to tell the story.
I'll be looking forward to watching the next festival that's always held in December and I'll sure share it with you all.
