Ver sufrir a mis perros es doloroso [ ESP– ENG ]

Hola querida comunidad de Hive Pets, hoy haré una especie de catarsis canina, y es que cuando mis perros sufren yo también sufro mucho y me siento impotente al no poder hacer nada al respecto, por lo menos por un buen tiempo.

Bueno, yo no sé qué pasa, pero parece que hay una infestación de garrapatas terrible, y hace aproximadamente un mes nosotros estamos luchando con estos parásitos y parece que nos están ganando la batalla porque cada día son más, en realidad me siento desesperada con este asunto.

Mis perros tienen una particularidad muy especial y es que ambos son de raza pastor, uno es un pastor blanco suizo y el otro un pastor alemán, y les puedo contar que en realidad yo nunca decidí tener un perro de raza pastor, es más cuando rescatamos a Lobo ni siquiera sabíamos que era un perro pastor blanco y no sabíamos lo que eso implicaba, porque por la raza son un poco delicados.

Mis perros poseen una sensibilidad genética común en los perros de raza pastor a la ivermectina, por este motivo no se las puedo inyectar, porque les puedo ocasionar la muerte, problemas neurológicos y convulsiones, esto no los dijo una veterinaria y yo lo confirme investigando por internet, es decir que ya no puedo contar con ese recurso tan económico para eliminar esta terrible plaga de mis mascotas y mi casa.

My dogs have a very special particularity and they are both shepherds, one is a white Swiss shepherd and the other a German shepherd, and I can tell you that I never really decided to have a shepherd dog, in fact when we rescued Lobo we did not even know that he was a white shepherd dog and we did not know what that implied, because they are a bit delicate due to their breed.

My dogs have a common genetic sensitivity in shepherd dogs to ivermectin, for this reason I can not inject them, because I can cause death, neurological problems and seizures, this was not said by a veterinarian and I confirmed it by researching on the internet, that is to say that I can no longer count on this very economical resource to eliminate this terrible plague of my pets and my house.

En vista de eso usamos amitrax, un producto de uso común para eliminar garrapatas, pero en nuestro caso no funcionó, no sé si es que lo usamos mal o es que en ellos no funciona por la cantidad de pelo que tienen, los bañamos una sola vez y en ningún momento vi mejoría, yo aspiraba que las garrapatas se soltaran del cuerpo, pero no, siguieron más pegadas que nunca, también pienso que lo diluimos mal, quizás no estaba tan concentrado.

Lo que hizo este veneno fue ocasionarle problemas en la piel a Lobo, y si soy sincera le tengo cierta desconfianza al amitrax, solo nos queda una alternativa y es realmente costosa para nuestras posibilidades en este momento, son los collares antigarrapas que tienen una duración de seis meses, pero su costó oscila entre 15 y 20 dólares cada uno, en una ocasión nosotros se lo compramos a Lobo y realmente funcionó, pero hoy en día se nos ha hecho muy difícil poder juntar el dinero.

Siento que la que está sufriendo más con todo este asunto de las garrapatas es Kira, pues las garrapatas se le metieron en las orejas y se la pasa con las orejas caídas, nosotros hemos intentado retirárselas, pero ella es muy inquieta y tiene mucha fuerza, otro detalle es que las tiene muy adentro y es difícil.

Nosotros los espulgamos a diario y sacamos más de 100 garrapatas, pero esto no les vale, a Kira ya no la estamos sacando a pasear, le eliminamos por completo las salidas al parque, esperemos que pase más tiempo a ver si la situación mejora, a veces pienso que las garrapatas se le reproducen en el cuerpo.

Algo que hacíamos era matar las garrapatas, pero nos dijeron que era malo porque la sangre podía contener huevos que luego eclosionaban y causaban una reinfección, ahora las ahogamos por si acaso.

En cuanto a Lobo, tiene nuevamente su problema de piel por la alergia a las garrapatas, y supongo que al tener estos parásitos, se ponen débiles y desnutridos. Tengo una amiga que se le murió un perro por no poder quitarle esta plaga y eso me tiene realmente mal, no quiero perder a mis perros, y yo me esfuerzo por mantenerles su perrarina por Lobo y sus alergias y aquí en Venezuela es un gasto grande y un gran esfuerzo, pero con el collar no hemos podido.

What this poison did was to cause problems in Lobo's skin, and if I am sincere I have some distrust to the amitrax, we only have an alternative and it is really expensive for our possibilities at the moment, they are the anti tick collars that have a duration of six months, but their cost oscillates between 15 and 20 dollars each one, in one occasion we bought it to Lobo and it really worked, but nowadays it has become very difficult for us to be able to gather the money.

I feel that the one who is suffering the most with all this matter of ticks is Kira, because the ticks got into her ears and she spends the whole time with her ears down, we have tried to remove them, but she is very restless and has a lot of strength, another detail is that she has them very inside and it is difficult.

We spur them daily and we removed more than 100 ticks, but this is not enough for them, we are not taking Kira for a walk anymore, we completely eliminated her trips to the park, let's wait for more time to see if the situation improves, sometimes I think that the ticks reproduce in her body.

One thing we used to do was to kill the ticks, but we were told it was bad because the blood could contain eggs that would then hatch and cause re-infection, now we drown them just in case.

As for Lobo, he has his skin problem again because of the tick allergy, and I guess having these parasites, they get weak and malnourished. I have a friend who had a dog die because she couldn't get rid of this plague and that makes me feel really bad, I don't want to lose my dogs, and I make an effort to keep them on perrarine because of Lobo and his allergies and here in Venezuela it is a big expense and a big effort, but with the collar we haven't been able to do it.

Personalmente, no creo en remedios caseros como el neem, incluso sé de gente que lo ha usado por donde yo vivo y esto no les resuelve nada, y lo peor de todo es que exponen al perro ante un veneno. El jabón bóxer que venden en las tiendas veterinarias tampoco me funcionó, lo único que falta es ponerle el collar que ya he comprobado que si funciona.

Tengo miedo a la enfermedad de la garrapata, hace poco una amiga tuvo a su perrita grave, y pudo salvarla, ella contaba con el dinero y realmente gasto bastante, pero en nuestro caso quizás no podamos.

En cuanto a mi esposo y yo las garrapas no se nos han pegado, creo que es un tipo de garrapata que no le agrada mucho la sangre de adulto humana, pero a mi hijo si se le pegó una ayer en el pie, de esas que conocemos como rabaleras, él se molestó tanto que nos sugirió regalar a los perros.

Hablando del tema de regalar los perros, no lo hemos hecho primero porque los porque sabemos que no los van a cuidar, hoy en día la gente tiene para medio comer, no tienen para mantener perros y menos tratamientos y los que si son pudientes prefieren tener razas puras qué mestizos.

Tener perros es una gran responsabilidad y más que todo en estos tiempos que estamos viviendo, nosotros deseamos ser dueños responsables, pero creo que la situación se nos está saliendo de las manos y eso me tiene muy angustiada.

As for my husband and I the ticks have not stuck to us, I think it is a type of tick that does not like human adult blood, but my son got one yesterday on his foot, one of those that we know as "rabaleras", he was so upset that he suggested us to give away the dogs.

Talking about the subject of giving away the dogs, we have not done it first because we know that they are not going to take care of them, nowadays people have enough to eat, they do not have enough money to keep dogs and less treatments and those who are wealthy prefer to have pure breeds than mongrels.

Having dogs is a great responsibility and more than anything in these times we are living, we want to be responsible owners, but I think the situation is getting out of hand and that makes me very anxious.
