On the very first day of this new awesome year
I decided to once again conquer life with nothing to fear
Facing the first sunrise with my head up proud

I thought of you as I looked at the pristine sky
The feeling of being with you takes me so high
How I wish you were here holding my hand
As we appreciate the beauty of this vast land

For years, I've waited to be with you again
In wishing wells, I've thrown several hundred yen
With you by my side, life becomes much brighter
And everything I feel deep within seems lighter

Through the horizon, I can picture myself with you
Laughing, crying... doing stuff together like we used to
Someday, for sure, our paths will once again get connected
