Elon's $44 billion bid for Twitter has been accepted and I really couldn't help but imagine where Hive would be if all that money, effort, fame and resources came to Hive instead. I'm just thinking out loud here and this is because I wondered why Elon would think its better to try to convert a Web 2.0 platform to a Web 3.0. It really doesn't make much sense to me particularly since "Free Speech"already existed on Hive but he chose to look the other way.
Investing $44 billion in Hive would mean abundance in every aspect of the blockchain. The most visible would be the price of one Hive reaching around $130 which is the most realistic price and there's a higher chance it would surpass this price as more users and investors would come to the platform. Dapps and second layer tokens like Leofinance would go crazy because there'll be more users and investors. Hive would literally go mainstream and we'd be having more attention from both users and developers to help make the blockchain a better place.
To be honest, I'm really indifferent about the news of Elon wanting to buy Twitter. Yeah, the platform was great but lacked decentralized, but the solution to this already existed but he chose to put all that effort, resources and money into something whose future isn't certain. Yeah, Elon is smart because you can't be the freaking richest man on the planet without being smart so I'm really curious of what would happen to Twitter and how he plans to implement Web 3.0 on a Web 2.0 platform...Oh Elon!!!!
His favorite coin, Doge had already gone up by over 25% since the announcement of the bid's acceptance and I just kinda imagined what would happen to Hive if there's a news of an investor like Elon coming on Hive with all that money. Hive would literally go crazy.
The Hive dream is alive and I've never been more enthusiastic of the blockchain like I am now. I'm positive about the future of this blockchain regardless of the attention it is being denied of. Hive is a gem and more people would locate it with time. It may take a while but till then, we would keep developing the blockchain and keep growing with it. Its victory is inevitable, it's just a matter of time.
