Hello Everyone. Its the last day of the year and I'd liek to share with you all my last art of 2022. This piece was completed today and is one of my finest works created with scribble technique. This piece was inspired by a situation I faced sa while ago when I sort of question if people really felt the pain and struggles oof others. I initially wanted to use the concept of halls of faces like in the Game of Thrones series but felt eyeballs were perfect for a new concept I had in mind (the many faces was also quite tough to drawing, so I'd be reserving that project for another time).
Drawing the eyes was challenging but I loved and enjoyed every step. Here's a poem I made for this piece and it was inspired by a poem by the talented poet, Kevin Owusu.
Do You See Me?
Do you know my struggles?
Do you hear my late night screams?
Can you feel my pain?
Can you see my tears?
Can you see my scars?
Can you hear my heart ache?
I'm forced to deal with the shame and fool the world.
And yes I did fool the world with my glow and no frowns.
But only I will know,
Only I will bare.
