So I am torn between two feelings

I am a little sad this part of our journey is over with minus the graduation party in a week. But I am also excited that I am no longer legally responsible for anyone. I been a mom my entire adult life. So I am more than ready experience what that is like. Today my son graduated but as much as we say it is about them, I think it is more about the parents. We work so hard to get them to this day. It is like a badge of honor for them to walk across that stage. Just because I have home schooled through high school doesn't mean I was letting the ones that home school through high school miss out. There are home school organizations in all 50 states that host home school prom and graduation ceremonies along with a host of other activities from sports, drama, book clubs, academic clubs, STEM clubs and so much more. I am grateful for these resources even if we don't use them all the time. Because of that I got to do this today.

How awesome is that, as a home schooler yes I would always hand it too them, but my states is organized in a way that encourages the parents to be the presenters of their diplomas. After all many of us has home schooled our children through out their education.

So the next chapter of my life is too be written

I have no clue what the next chapter in my life holds, as it still needs to be written. But this last chapter has been an amazing ride. Raising my children has been my entire adult life, their needs, and wants always before mine. I feel a little lost like I did last year as @truthtalk flew the nest to go off to college. I got to find some things to occupy the extra time I am going to have on my hands. Maybe do some advertising and try to expand my business a little. Or take up another hobby. I have been wanting to try other forms of artistic expression.

What ever the future holds I am ready for it

I love the surprises that life gives us. I have no clue what the future has in store for me, but I do know I am ready to take it on. I hope there are more surprises in my life that surprises me and fills me with more knowledge, happiness and friendships.

I hope for my son that he keeps dreaming and works hard to make his dreams his reality
