Hi friends! I haven't posted in a little over a week. I've been busy with work and family life. I visited my daughter who is experiencing her 1st year away at universite.(pics to come)
This morning I did my final harvest from the garden. I got a bunch of tomotoes, some red but most still green. I also picked some banana and bell peppers and carrots. Was a good garden for my first one out here on this homestead.
I'll be giving more updates on how I'm using this harvest and preserving it again soon. In the meantime does anyone have any good suggestions for getting these green tomatoes to ripen up? In the past I have just kept them in a window to get them to ripen but that doesn't always work so good. This year I am trying putting them in a brown paper bag with a banana. This method seems to work for a friend. What are your tips?
