Yall get the vibe that cuz Steemit is relatively new there's still this awkward corny energy around a lot of ppl trying to capitalize on a chance to make money by being inauthentically positive and commenting on nearly everything seeking followers/upvotes. It's super thirsty tbh...

"hey Joe!! Really loved your post! loving your vibe!! follow me! i"ll follow you!!" type of shit u get me??

It makes me cringe so hard and honestly put me off using Steemit for a few months.

Where're the real people being themselves? Where's the weirdos the loudmouths the haters the crazy ones?

It's funny i remember first getting facebook back in about 2006 when i was in 8th grade and people hella had the same energy of being this corny positive rando just hitting ur inbox like "add me bro!!" but it was some random ass dude from india. It was all about the number of friends you had. The max was 5000, by 9th grade every cool kid in my high school in Hong Kong had around 1k friends on facebook, after this point it got difficult to get to the 5000 limit if you weren't famous and people kind of accepted staying at around 1-2k friends. I noticed the same trend happen with twitter and Instagram.. a natural leveling out of online presence/fitting into your little online niche...

Steemit still has a long way to go imo especially in terms of a community that cares more about issues/the world than the money they're making off posts about issues/the world , ya feel me?

I'm just going to be purely myself on here and see what happens. Upvotes, comments, followers, and hype all come in time...

Stay tru, 1love
