Market Friday

A post for Market Friday hosted by dswigle@dswigle, if you haven't followed her yet you should she is one of the kindest and most supportive people here on Hive, a comment from her is like a ray of sunshine on your page.
This is the one tag and challenge that I always make a point of joining, and also look through the posts of others that join the challenge and seeing markets from all around the world.

For this weeks post, I am sharing a few shots of a visit to the Allen C Haskell Gardens here in New Bedford, I know I have shared this place for a Market Friday Post before, about a year ago, well I visited it again this week and Knowing how dswigle@dswigle loves flowers I thought she would not mind me revisiting it

A little bit about the gardens
The late Allen C. Haskell, a lifelong New Bedford resident and famed horticulturist, assembled these six acres—the site of a traditional New England-style common, beautiful historic gardens, and one of the oldest homes in the city—over more than 30 years. Today, it’s a public park and unlikely botanical respite, blooming in the heart of New Bedford.

Now you may be wondering if it is a public gardens how is this a Market Friday post, well in spring they do sell flowers, and its open to buy them at the moment, so it is indeed a market and a very beautiful one especially at this time of the year.

Starting with a shot as I was entering into the gardens, they have this little building

To the side of that building they have this nice little area in the shade of the trees to sit and relax.

they have this cool colorful greenhouse there, I decided to share it from this angle, showing all the tulips beside it, I took a few shots of the tulips more close up but will save those for another post.
