I tend to sometimes stretch the term Market a little and today is another time I do that, now a bank May not exactly be a market, but am loosely saying it is a kind of a Money Market, or maybe you need to visit a Bank before heading to a market.
This is a Citi Bank branch on Park Ave, one of my favorite bank offices I will shar ein the post, not so much because it is Citibank, but because I do like blues.

And here we have a City National Bank, just down the street a little, I went a bit creative with the edit to bring out the color sinside the bank.

And just a few steps later I came across this chase Bank, in fact all the banks in this post were within a couple of block radius along Park Ave, which gave me the idea of getting these shots for a Market Friday post, at first I thought its kind of bizarre that there is so many banks in such a close proximity, but then again with the Population of NYC being 8.6 + Million People and so many people living in high rise apartment buildings its probably not that many at all.

Now this Bank I had never heard of before getting this shot the M.Y Safra Bank,.
I was thinking is it just because I grew up in New Zealand where even our Big cities are small in comparison to the big cities here that I thought the number of bank branches was high here, so I did some research.
And found the following facts on number of banks per 100,000 people by Country and the stats were quite interesting, these numbers are from this site
United States 33.053
New Zealand 28.957
The Highest in this list seemed to be Spain with 58,112 Branches per 100 People
and the Lowest being Ukraine with 0.45 Bank branches per 100,000 People.
So, all in all, there really isn't that high a number of banks here in NYC, I know that may be boring for most but I found this quite interesting.

And finishing off with a TD Bank, I again tweaked up the colors to show the colorful interior and highlight the wet footpath, which wasn;t from rain but from a building worker washing down the footpath, if you look closely you can see the hose.
