Hotel Chelsea RIFF
I was asked by a friend on Steemit if I could get some shots of the Hotel Chelsea as it was where he stayed when he visited NYC so I swung by it one morning and will now share a few shots of it.
I must admit I took these shots a while back, but they slipped my mind and I just remembered them this morning so I edited them for this post.
Hotel Chelsea was described online as a Stylish 80's inspired interiors and a trendy retro-inspired hotel, so I was looking forward to going to see it.

Well I was a bit surprised when I saw the state it was in, this close in shot of the sign shows it is a bit run down at the moment.

Zooming out a bit to show more of the building, it sure has a style and in its day must have been so bright and vivid to see.
With the fence and walls around it at ground level, I am guessing its in the process of renovation, I must swing back in a year and see how it is when it is finished.
You may think its strange with no people in the shot, there actually was a couple of cars and people in the shot, but they took away from the image, so I edited them out.

And a final shot of it from across the road, you can see the acrs and people in this shot. I dont find them distracting in this shot and give a truer feeling of this spot
