I hope your week has gone well and wishing you a good weekend ahead
Today I will share some more water drop refraction shots I did in our basement here
For those who find these fun and something different, cool, but alas..
and for those who find these boring you will be glad to hear this most likely will be the last in this series of these photos at least for now, I hope warmer weather will come soon and I have a couple of other ideas to try down in the basement between now and nicer weather
I know I have said that before and i have setup one style of pphotos I want to try, now thinking about it a couple of months ago, but I guess I have been struggling for motivation to go down finish setting it up and seeing whatI can get
So doing this post is also a bit of motivation for me to get my act together, in fact I just too my camera batteries out and out them on charge in between typing sentences, so they will be ready to go when I am
But onto these shots

Its actually pretty easy to setup
I grabbed for tins of food all the same height as it happened, they were cans of soup, and a sheet of glass which I grabbed out of one of the framed photos I had in a box in the basement , as I didn't have space on our walls to put them all up
and I put the glass on top of the cans, then set up the tripod over these with the camera mounted underneath it, looking down at the glass
I then put some drops of water on the glass, and used a tablet underneath to pull up some images that I used
Then it's just a matter of getting the lighting OK, and adjusting the focus to get the patterns in the water drops.
That said the first drops I did went very flat, so I tried some Rain-X I had that I use on the car window, and that worked a charm for bigger, rounder drops.
