Across the waters and upon the lakes
Hand in hand we play and splash
As the sun beats and earth it bakes
Away the memories made we stash
The cool of water upon the feet
Diamonds of light upon the surface
A little time standing together a treat
after so long apart we deserve this
Shift sand and stone between toes
Walking on into ever greater depths
How far can we continue none knows
Attempt to run life's complete breadth
At any moment all can up and change
And the night can engulf all the days
Not all in power none have the range
