It was an early start today, but after 10 hours of travel, I am now a few hundred kilometers west of where I started. For the next few days, I will be in Lillehammer Norway - the site of the 1994 winter Olympics. Pretty cool, but looking out either side of the dressed slope, it is far more spring than winter.
This week, I am not sure what the schedule is going to look like, so I am going to post what I can, when I can, so some might be mostly a few pictures like this, others might be walls of text - I am unsure. But I think I have made up for words through all of the other posts :)
It has been quite strange travelling with so many colleagues and there will end up being about 40 of us all up from around the Nordics. I don't know everyone, but apparently, for most, this is more a social event than for work, so I am sur I will meet them all over a beer. However, I have work to do, since I am not part of this team at all, but got invited along because I interact with them for my work. Thankfully, at least I don't have to deliver a training session.
We are split into male and female cabins, but I get the sense that the "boys" cabin is going to be pretty rowdy. There is more beer in the industrial fridge here than most breweries would store at any one time.
And a very stained pool table.
Sleeping quarters are shared rooms, but I am hoping that I might end up with one for myself, since the bunkbed setup is ridiculous. The Cabin sleeps 36 people all up, but I wouldn't say it sleeps them comfortably.
However, if I really want some quiet space, one of the toilets has a view to contemplate life and hangovers, while looking out over the fjords. Though, I am going to try and avoid too much drinking, sine it has been a very long time since the last I was drunk, and the foreigner in me still feels that getting drunk in front of the new CRO is a bad idea - If only I was a Finn.
Right. Now, a call to my daughter before she heads to bed and then back down to party work!

PS - I know this isn't a Weekend Post, but I am not sure where this fits!!!
