Weekend Experience: from wholesale market to Ramadan Iftar!
Weekends are always special for reducing the stress from everyday work pressure. But the weekend which is after the bitter winter comes with the spring air is more enjoyable than the long winter's doomed weekends! Though after the warming temperature at the start of the march, the temperature dropped again here to the negative range at the bottom with around 11-14 at the top while there was around 20-23 at the beginning of March. And still, it was a cold week, and finally, the temperature going to rise in the coming week and today was relatively warmer than yesterday.
The long winter is gonna be faded away soon here and the temperature is going to rise now and already the lower level has just crossed the freezing level. The temperature during the daytime is now crossed 15 degrees afternoon and sometimes it will touch the 20-degree level. And so now I feel free to go out by my bicycle for some exploration and find some special shops to buy something. And I have found a big wholesale kind of market where I can buy more fresh fish and all the other things that I need often. So I start for the market today after a week later to see the surrounding also.
I have seen the new leaves on trees and flowers on the trees surrounding the area though still, the effect of the winter is not over. The same colorlessness is observable that I experienced two weeks ago. But the white and the pink flowers on the trees make the surrounding a little bit better as without the green leaves nature is still empty however tons of flowers are trying their best to hide the fact but it is the reality that without green there is no beauty!
The air quality is also better than in the winter and the visible range is also comfortable to ride and move around. And now is the perfect time to visit some beautiful places where thousands of flowers will bloom and maybe soon I will explore such beauty in some areas like the Honglu Temple!
After 30 minutes of cycling, I reached the market where the local business people are selling goods. The market was far bigger than I expected in such a local area but I have seen very few people than I generally face in Bangladeshi markets in anywhere the country! Most importantly, I could never know about the market without the help of the map as the building is the same as the other building and from outside I have no option to whether the building is for an industrial workplace or a local market!
Being used to buying things online every day, I was feeling that the things here are fresher and you have the option to choose what you want or check the quality of the product which I often miss in online shopping!
The market covers almost everything you need in your kitchen and plenty of varieties at a cheap price than the supermarket. And also many things are of better quality than at the supermarket.
I found that there was no HALAL beef or mutton here and my only option was to buy some fish I bought some fresh fish from here and the price was really lower than the supermarket from where I used to buy these fish or meat.
For example the medium size prawns I buy @40 RMB per 500 gm but here it is at only 30 RMB per 500 gm. And for beef and sheep meat, I need to pay 60-70 RMB per 500 gm in the supermarket but here those are only 38-45 RMB per 500 gm.

There is almost everything you need for processed meat to the bakery items. But I prefer not to consume processed things for health issues and to be safe from stomach issues also. I bought some fresh and alive fish, and one pineapple which is more than 2 bucks and seems too expensive compared to my country experience but I wanted to taste it for today's Iftar.
I have also bought some vegetables and duck eggs which are relatively cheap here and maybe in the future I will be more frequent here.
Later it was around the Iftar time so I need to come back to my room and prepared for my holiday Iftar as on other days, it is quite nothing due to the tight schedule. I have prepared the air-fried Pomfret fish which is one of my favorites, with cranberry juice, half of the pineapple, oven-steemed broccoli, duck eggs, cucumber, and the smaller tomatoes as the combined dinner with Iftar.
I hope you like post-wintery roads and my weekend experience in Ramadan and I am inviting you to get the experience to my upcoming blogs. And if you have any kinds of queries, you can ask me in the comments. I will try to answer at my level best.
Thanks a lot for your time and attention, I will catch you at the next one.
Have a great day!
