Greetings, friends of #amazingnature . Once again I meet with you to tell you and show you the experience I had with a Güira bonsai that about two years ago I had given to a friend and that has come back to me to be recovered.
Saludos, amigos de #amazingnature . Una vez más me encuentro con ustedes para contarles y mostrarles la experiencia que tuve con un bonsái de Güira que hace como dos años le había regalado a una amiga y que ha vuelto a mí para que lo recupere.
I have a friend who asked me to give her a bonsai, since at that time I had four and she was fascinated by them. I explained to her that it required dedication and I gave her the Güira bonsai, which was the newest one, here in Venezuela the Güira plant is called Tapara and she left happy with her bonsai, I gave her the youngest at that time that was only one year old, with the idea that she would learn something of this millenary art.
Last week, with great sorrow, she brought it back to me after having spent two years with it. She told me it was sick and asked for my help, as the little plant didn't even have leaves.
The first thing I did was to move the soil, put ashes and water on it.
Tengo una amiga que me pidió que le regalara un bonsái, ya que en esa oportunidad yo tenía cuatro y a ella le fascinaban. Le expliqué que requería dedicación y le regalé el bonsái de Güira, que era el más nuevo, acá en Venezuela a la planta de Güira le llaman Tapara y ella se fue feliz con su bonsái, le di el más joven en aquel entonces que solo tenía un año de edad, con la idea de que ella aprendiera algo de este arte milenario.
La semana pasada, con mucha pena, me lo trajo de vuelta después de haber pasado dos años con él. Me dijo que estaba enfermo y me pidió ayuda, ya que la pequeña planta ni siquiera tenía hojas.
Lo primero que hice fue mover la tierra, ponerle cenizas y agua.
That was a week ago and today I am going to give him other nutrients, because I know he is going to recover. I wanted to share with you this process.
Next, I will show you the materials I used to better nourish this bonsai and step by step how I did the whole process. I used the following materials:
- Compost soil
- Small trunk treasures
- Small charcoal treasures
- Ash
- Fine gravel
- Spatula
- Scissors
- Model knife
De eso hace ya una semana y hoy le voy a dar otros nutrientes, porque sé que se va a recuperar. He querido compartir con ustedes este proceso.
A continuación, les mostraré los materiales que utilicé para nutrir mejor este bonsái y paso a paso cómo realicé todo el proceso. Utilicé los siguientes materiales:
- Tierra abonada
- Pequeños tesoros de tronco
- Pequeños tesoros de carbón
- Ceniza
- Gravilla fina
- Espátula
- Tijeras
- Cuchilla de maqueta
The first thing I did was to move the soil to remove the plant without causing more damage than it already had.
Lo primero que hice fue mover la tierra para sacar la planta sin causarle más daño del que ya tenía.
When I had it outside, I realized that it had only developed a single root, as it did not have enough food and also had a fungus. I cut off the root so that when I replanted it with new nutrients, it could develop properly.
Al tenerla fuera, me di cuenta de que solo había desarrollado una sola raíz, ya que no tenía suficiente alimento y también tenía un hongo. Le corté la raíz para que, al plantarla nuevamente con nutrientes nuevos, pueda desarrollarse debidamente.
Almost always at home I have prepared soil for my bonsais with bark of vegetables and wood, but as this bonsai is in emergency, I will add a little more when preparing its pot.
To prepare his pot, the first thing I did was to remove the old soil that was no longer adding much. I added gravel first, then soil, then charcoal, then some more soil, small pieces of wood and finally more soil.
Casi siempre en casa tengo tierra preparada para mis bonsáis con corteza de verduras y madera, pero como este bonsái está en emergencia, le añadiré un poco más al preparar su vasija.
Para preparar su vasija, lo primero que hice fue retirar la tierra vieja que ya no le aportaba mucho. Le agregué primero gravilla, después tierra, luego carbón, otro poco más de tierra, pequeños pedacitos de madera y, por último, más tierra.
I opened a space in the center for the root to fit well, and covered it well.
Abrí un espacio en el centro para que la raíz quepa bien, y la cubrí bien.
I put ash on it, as it will not only provide nutrients, but will also help with fungus and pests, it will get healthier quickly.
Le puse ceniza, ya que no solo le aportará nutrientes, sino que también le ayudará con los hongos y plagas, se pondrá más saludable rápidamente.
I watered it and then put a little more ash in it, as it provides some minerals that the plant needs at this time.
La regué y después le puse un poco más de ceniza, ya que aporta algunos minerales que la planta necesita en estos momentos.
This time I did not prune this bonsai, since it was without leaves a week ago and the ones it has now are new and healthy. I already finished putting new nutrients to my friend's bonsai, who told me that she would not take it to her until it is completely recovered.
En esta ocasión no podé este bonsái, ya que estaba sin hojas hace una semana y las que tiene ahora son nuevas y saludables. Ya terminé de ponerle nuevos nutrientes al bonsái de mi amiga, quien me dijo que no se lo llevaría hasta que esté completamente recuperado.
