Hey guys! I missed blogging yesterday, life got busy and I decided to just hit the sack.
So! Lots to catch up on!
Yesterday it was very cold again. Wind chill factor had it down to -34°C when I got up. I did chores quickly.
I had a couple extra layers on, an outfit of Robert Munsch-like proportions. It helped me stay pretty comfortable, but I still only took 15 minutes to rush through feeding the sheep. That's all it takes to get frosted up!
The sheep are much happier in the cold than me.
Other things that happened around here...
I started working on my plumbing project again Monday afternoon. I got the bypass installed that day.
I finished the rest of it today!! No more burns, copper fittings are SO much better than brass ones.
That silver unit on the left is the actual UV irradiation chamber. There's also a particulate filter right before it to filter out any sand or other fine sediments that might be in our cistern water. I need to do a system disinfection as well to kill off any existing bacteria and viruses that are already camping in the pipes. After that, our water should be absolutely safe to drink!
What else... I spent most of Tuesday at my church, where I am the head of the decorating committee, preparing the building for our Christmas banquet. We went with a Bethlehem market/Three Wise Men theme, so I'll snap some photos of that to show off on Friday! It was a lot if work, but it was still fun.
Today, my toddler (3 years) finally decided she would try to be potty trained! So that was not too bad. She peed on my bed, which wasn't great, but that was her only 'accident' all day! Could I possibly finally be free from diapers soon? Yeehaw!
That's all for this round. See you next time!
