How time flies that we're already gearing towards Election Day and it's almost half of the month!

It has been weeks since the longest weekend holiday (Holy Week) here in the Philippines. And it was the much-needed break me and my husband needed. I sometimes wish we could do that at least once a month.

Still, we were lucky.

We used to have employers who don't really care about the Philippine holiday. And now that we're off the hook and got better clients, they have been so kind enough to allow us this long weekend.

It was such a serendipitous find when I booked for their room since they had it on promo just for the holidays. So, staycation it is then!

We got in a little late...well, very late. It was already sundown when we checked in. So, after chilling in the room for a bit, we went out to the nearby mall for dinner.

It wasn't surprising that a lot of families have checked in along with us since it was 'Holy Week' in the Philippines. I can say the same thing about the restaurants. It was packed with people!

Fortunately, our hotel wasn't so strict about the outside food so we brought all kinds of junk and drinks back into our room 😛✌️

We heard there was going to be a live band that night. So we went up to the highest floor in the hotel...and the view from the roof deck was just superb 😍

The band was awesome! We spent 3 hours in the roof deck listening to good music 👌

In the morning, we decided to take a quick dip in pool deck. But there were a lot of kids already. Given that we're still in a pandemic, we had to pass.

Still, it was a great place to hang around so we stayed for more than hour looking at the view.

I like how generous Bai Hotel was with their sanitary kits. And I'm a sucker for harboring things like these. So I wouldn't be lying if I tell you I had all of these in my bag first thing in that morning.

They also had these awesome bathrobes! I don't come across this often (poor me HAHA) so I ended up wearing this robe for hours before checking out.

It was such a short stay. But it was worth it. And it was just what we needed. A little restart.

Stress and burnout are slow killers, especially for our generation. So, whenever you have the need to unwind, relax and give yourself some TLC!

You deserve it! 💙
