This goes out to all my brothers and sisters who wear medicated glasses. The struggle is real. You know people think we are so dorky and cute with them glasses on. They have no idea the stress that comes with an eye defect and the burden that are glasses. I mean its there to help us but why the struggle though... Lol
Here are the five problems people in glasses normally go through
Even if you are the world's cleanest being. Best believe them glasses are gonna mess up your track record of cleanliness. I have no idea how they get dirty to begin with. One moment, you're all good and the vision is clean and the next minute you gotta take it off and wipe it. The worst is when you aren't with the wiper or a handkerchief or at least your shirt isn't cotton. Its over mehn... Blurred vision for the day.
Anything involving the water or swimming is a no go area. Others would probably see something interesting and beautiful but you cannot relate because your blind self can't see for the life of you. Absolutely infuriating.
You know the saying... "When it rains, it pours". That's the case for people with glasses. You cannot, i repeat, you cannot walk under the rain with your glasses on. At this point you're praying for the lens to have automatic wipers like cars..
Now, people who dont know better will say "why dont you get contacts, they are easier to use". Of course you know they don't know the hell that comes with wearing the contacts on your own so you quietly smile and nod and all the while flashing back to the day you experienced hell on earth by trying to wear the contacts yourself. Never again.
Now, finally, none of this compares to when you break the glasses and you've used up all your free repair chances, you're swamped at work and you literally do not have cash to fix them. Well, my friends, you are "galactically" screwed. The fight to survive has never been harder than when you break your glasses that you know you cannot see without.
