Good Monday to all our creative community!!! I hope this week has been productive for you and that you are doing well!
My last week was not too productive for needlework. The new hat pattern was not easy to knit. I need to remove every second loop from the knitting needle and leave alternately behind or in front of the knit.
It's not very comfortable and slows the pace of knitting too much for me. Therefore, my progress in knitting is much slower than I would like. 😕
But I like this knitting pattern so I decided to continue. This is how it looks with white yarn. Very gentle, right?!
I have tried using a third needle when slipping stitches behind or in front of the knit. But this does not help me, but on the contrary, it slows down knitting even more, as it twists the loop under the weight of the knitting needle itself. Therefore, I just hold the slipped loop with my free finger while I knit the next one. Then I return the removed loop to the knitting needle to knit it too. This, of course, is also not very convenient, but I have not come up with any other option on how to facilitate or speed up the knitting process. 😕🙁
At the moment, I have already introduced blue yarn with lurix into knitting. I love how it looks together!
To be honest, I was sure that I would finish the hat quickly and that I would still have time to wear it this winter. But now I'm not so sure about it. In Israel, winter passes quickly and already in the middle of February it can be too warm for such a warm hat.
