Good Monday to all our creative community!!! I hope this week has been productive for you and that you are doing well!
For me, the most difficult thing is to start sewing according to patterns. Intellectually, I understand that it is not difficult, it just takes practice, but I still feel very hesitant to start. I already said that I finally made patterns for the summer top for the master class on the Internet. To try to sew this top, I found with old shirts that I don鈥檛 mind ruining.

This is what the shirt looks like after cutting off the collar, cuffs and button trims. Now I need to cut out the front of the top. I am ahead of a lot of indecision so I use not only the pattern but also my shirt, which fits me in size, to compare.

Armholes match!

Now we need to cut it on the other side.

Since I cut off the upper part of the back because of the collar, the front part turned out to be longer than the back. I need to cut off the extra length.

I'm trying to connect all the parts with pins.

Since I cut off the button strips, the front does not match the back in width. I knew this. I have leftovers from the sleeves.

I want to use this piece of fabric for the front insert. Roughly it should look like this:

To continue the work, first I need to sew the main parts on a sewing machine. But I will not do this today: my courage has already dried up 馃檲馃樁

Take care of yourself and be healthy!
