Hello everyone

It's a beautiful day out here and I bring you all greetings from my sewing room, I hope you are all doing great and I wish you a peaceful and productive day as you engage in your daily endeavors. It is with great pleasure that I will be sharing with you today the making of a shirt for my friend's little boy. For sometimes now, I have been making male outfit just to improve my sewing skills as sometimes I have to make outfit for my family and friends who has little boy, they don't usually mind what the outcome would be but i make sure I try my best to make it look nice, then I believe consistency brings perfection so I decided to be making a free outfit for the boys just for me to perfect my sewing skills. I can tell with this that I have really improved.

I was given this fabric to make a shirt for my friend's little boy and I had to start by folding the fabric in two to cut out the back of the shirt with the shoulder, armhole, neck and full length measurements was marked and cut out

The back bodice was placed on another folded fabric with 1.5 button allowance in front

The back pattern was placed on a small piece to cut out the facing at the back and it was sewn on it

The 1.5" allowance at the front was folded in on both sides and was sewn together at the shoulder with the back

The neckline was measured round and the measurement was used to cut out the collar and sewn on the neckline, then I cut out a short sleeve and sew it on the armhole circumference as well. Finally the hem of the shirt was folded in round and I made a button hole on one side with buttons on the other side.

This is the final outcome of the shirt I made for my friend's little boy. I hope you like the beautiful outcome.

Thanks so much for your time, support, comment and encouragement. Until my next post, do have a great day.
