It’s often the small things that make a day feel more complete than you expected in the morning.
It started out quite unspectacular. A walk, getting outside, moving a bit, clearing the mind. Nothing special, but exactly what’s sometimes needed to regain a bit of clarity.
Back home, there was still something waiting that I had been putting off for a while: tilling the soil. The motor hoe, however, had other plans. It would run for two seconds, then fall silent again. One of those moments where you briefly consider just leaving it.
Instead, I started looking into it. Step by step, without rushing. In the end, it turned out to be something small—a clogged jet in the carburetor. Cleaned it, put everything back together, and suddenly it ran again.
It’s a simple moment, but there’s something in it. You go out, move a bit, come back, and along the way solve a problem that had been lingering in the background. No big plan, no special ambition. Just doing.
In the end, the soil was tilled, the mind was clear, and there was that quiet feeling of having set something right.
Sometimes, that’s all it takes.
