Today’s photo captures a moment from the morning.
Yesterday I mowed the lawn.
Today the garden felt more alive.
Birds everywhere.
Walking across the grass. Pecking. Searching.
Finding what was hidden before.
One of them sat high up in the linden tree in front of my office.
Still. Present.
And then it started to sing.
Clear. Unhurried.
As if nothing else mattered.
Around midday we went out for a short walk.
Through the village down to the lake.
A familiar path.
On our way back we were expected.
Unexpectedly.
A visit not announced but well timed.
Just by chance we arrived at the right moment.
And so the day found its ending.
Simple. Unplanned. Complete.
Observed while moving. Left unfinished.
