with the motorhome.
A few days
away from routine.
We arrived
at a parking spot
in Ettenheim.
A quiet place.
Temporary home.
In the afternoon
a walk
through the old town.
Narrow streets.
Cobblestones
under our steps.
Baroque facades
in different colors.
Light and shadow
between the houses.
No rush.
Just wandering.
Now back
inside the van.
Small space.
Familiar order.
Tonight
we cook ourselves.
No restaurant
that matches
what we had in mind.
So we adapt.
Simple meal.
Own table.
Own rhythm.
Travel does not always mean
being served.
Sometimes it means
providing.
A narrow alley.
Stone beneath the feet.
Color on old walls.
Movement outside.
Stillness inside.
For a few days
this is enough.
