Jan. 26, 2016:
Just got back from the jungle after being 31 hours in route. I'm blistered, my hands have 3rd degree chemical burns, swamp assed, hungry, and worn out. My bucket is a bit fuller and I'm bit different because of it. Going far away to experience distant places and people is like a college where your own culture shock is the teacher. There's nothing that compares to it. No one can teach it to you from a book. You've just got to "buy the ticket and take the ride." If it doesn't get a little weird and scary, you're doing it wrong, I say. Here's to all you other free spirits who find life to be an adventure worth exploring. Who ever said that travel is just fun and leisure, only went on cruises. Love and gratitude!
“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!” -Hunter Thompson
