Show me your Rainbows

Those colors in the skies that don't happen all the time, but when they do, they make you glad your alive. How could you possibly be sad when you see it showing off it's magnificent colors in the skies. It's not something that happens in just one place on our earthly world. It can show up almost anywhere but mostly unexpectedly in a flash you see the magic as the colors appear. At times you may get a few minutes to enjoy the splendor or even as quickly as it appears it is gone again. Have you ever taken a drive and see more than one along the way? Or even have it seem like it's following you?

Just remember that when the great flood had receded many, many years ago...
God had sent a rainbow as a promise that is still important for us today. God said. “All flesh shall never again be cut off by the water of the flood, neither shall there be again a flood to destroy the earth. God put a beautiful rainbow in the sky for a sign of His promise. Noah could look at the rainbow and remember and we can look at rainbows today and think about that first rainbow. That promise is for us, too. God will never again let the waters of the earth become a flood to destroy all living things.

A rainbow is a phenomenon that is caused by reflection, refraction and dispersion of light in water droplets. Rainbows are caused by sunlight always appear in the sky directly opposite the sun. In a primary rainbow, the arc shows red on the outer part and violet on the inner side. In a double rainbow it has the order of its colors reversed, with red on the inner side of the arc. This is caused by the light being reflected twice on the droplets. A rainbow is not located at a specific distance from the observer, but an optical illusion caused by any water droplets viewed from a certain angle relative to a light source. Thus, a rainbow is not an object and cannot be physically approached.

Rainbows span a continuous spectrum of colours. Any distinct bands perceived are an artefact of human colour vision, and no banding of any type is seen in a black-and-white photo of a rainbow, only a smooth gradation of intensity to a maximum, then fading towards the other side. For colours seen by the human eye, the most commonly cited sequence is red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. Rainbows can be caused by many forms of airborne water including not only rain, but also mist, spray, and dew. Rainbows can be observed whenever there are water drops in the air and sunlight shining from behind the observer at a low altitude angle. Because of this, rainbows are usually seen in the western sky during the morning and in the eastern sky during the early evening. The rainbow effects are also commonly seen near waterfalls or fountains. In addition, the effect can be artificially created by dispersing water droplets into the air during a sunny day. It is difficult to photograph the complete semicircle of a rainbow in one frame. From above the earth such as in an airplane, it is sometimes possible to see a rainbow as a full circle. The sky inside a primary rainbow is brighter than the sky outside of the bow.
