"Helianthus. Helia - the sun. Anthus - flower. Sunny flower, sunflower.
The symbolism of sunflowers in all cultures of the world is quite powerful, related to the most important aspects of life. It symbolizes wisdom, happiness, health, fertility and longevity. Since it always turns towards the sun, it symbolizes strength, warmth, constancy and deep loyalty. It is a flower of spiritual growth, flexibility and possibilities. It also symbolizes wealth and ambition. In the Chinese tradition, the sunflower symbolizes long life, strength and happiness, and young Chinese women believe that 3 sunflower seeds thrown over the back enable a meeting with the future groom."
" Native Americans use it in summer festivals as a symbol of the harvest. According to their belief, the sunflower flower brings vitality, energy and fertility. In ancient times, people wore necklaces made of sunflower seeds strung together, believing that they protected them from smallpox. It is also believed to cure depression, improve the state of mind, and dispel bad energy. The yellow color of the sunflower flower symbolizes vitality and intelligence."
" It is the plant of immortality. The sunflower belongs to the planet Sun, its astrological sign is Leo, the element is Fire and the symbol is Spirituality. In Christianity, it is a symbol of God's love and represents unshakable faith to lead the soul to the highest spiritual level."
" Sunflower is a flower that follows the movement of the sun. Or at least that's what the stories and legends say that it used to be a very ordinary and unsightly flower. All the other flowers in the field and the animals that lived nearby constantly mocked him because of his simplicity, loneliness and ugliness. Sunflower was alone, abandoned and with his head down sadly every night. But in the morning, as soon as the day dawned, the sunflower would raise its head and closely follow the sun, until it set again. And so every day. The sun decided to reward that little sad, simple flower and give it the color of its rays. That beautiful golden color. The sun rewarded him for his love and faithfulness. Since then, no one mocked the sunflower because it was the tallest and most beautiful flower in the field illuminated by the sun's rays."
My favorite flower in which I see a bit of sunshine and joy...
I like to walk in the fields when it is in bloom and when the gentle scent spreads through the field... And of course at sunset... And then only a few bees come to collect pollen.....
In the summer days, only the yellow fields shine with light.
Every year I take a photo with my flower...
I remember such evenings in Banat for a long time.
I hope you enjoyed this walk with me...❤️
Thank you very much for visiting my blog 🥰
Have a nice evening ✨
