En todas las escenas de crímenes anteriores, los policías de la Guardia Civil Española encontraron el cadáver seco de un hombre solitario, desnutrido, casi en los huesos como si hubiese muerto de hambre, y con los ojos hundidos bañados en sangre, además siempre están sentados frente a una computadora sin ningún signo de violencia.
Los analistas informáticos de la policía revisaron las computadoras, y dispositivos con conexión a internet encontrados en el lugar, todos estaban iguales, borrados por completo, sin ningún tipo de información en sus discos duros, solo la pantalla iluminando en color rojo de manera titilante.
In All the previous crime scenes, the Spanish Civil Guard policemen found the dry corpse of a solitary man, malnourished, almost to the bone as if he had died of hunger, and with his sunken eyes bathed in blood, besides they are always sitting in front of a computer without any signs of violence.
The computer analysts of the police reviewed the computers and devices with an internet connection found at the scene, all were the same, completely erased, without any information on their hard drives, only the screen lighting up red in a blinking way.
Se cree que pudiera tratarse de un asesino en serie que ha creado un nuevo modus operandi para hacerse con sus víctimas, pero no existe ni la más mínima pista sobre ello para poder comprobar tal hipótesis. La única conexión aparente entre las víctimas, parece ser que eran personas aisladas de la sociedad, solteras, deprimidas y fanáticas de los juegos de video por internet.
La investigación comienza a tomar un rumbo perturbador y hasta paranormal si se quiere, cuando un especialista informático contacta al detective a cargo, para informarle de un rumor que se esparce como la espuma en internet. Al parecer en el Metaverso Español, existe un código fuente oculto por los creadores del mundo que lleva el nombre de “Don ki-jo-t”.
Según relata al detective el extraño informante anónimo, “Don ki-jo-t” es un “Huevo de Pascua”, es decir un programa secreto dentro del código fuente del juego principal al cual solo los invitados pueden acceder, y que te permite entrar a un mundo paralelo, según se dice este es un mundo infernal, bizarro y lúgubre controlado por un demonio, que te mantiene inmerso dentro del mundo virtual hasta apoderarse de tu alma.
It is believed that it could be a serial killer who has created a new modus operandi to take over his victims, but there is not the slightest clue about it to be able to verify such a hypothesis. The investigation begins to take a disturbing and even paranormal course, when a computer specialist contacts the detective in charge, to inform him of a rumor that spreads like wildfire on the internet. Apparently, in the Spanish Metaverse, there is a source code hidden by the creators of the world that bears the name of "Don ki-jo-t".
As the strange anonymous informant tells the detective, “Don ki-jo-t” is an “Easter Egg”, that is, a secret program within the source code of the main game that only guests can access, and that allows you to enter to a parallel world, it is said that this is a hellish, bizarre and gloomy world controlled by a demon, which keeps you immersed in the virtual world until it takes over your soul.
El detective toma la información como un chiste, ya que solo pensar en que un ente paranormal controla un mundo informático para matar personas le causa gracia, o por lo menos, encasilla al informante dentro del rango de los cientos de locos que a diario llaman a la policía con teorías.
Pero algo no está bien, el olfato policial del detective lo alerta a indagar si existe algo más allá de su comprensión, por lo que pide a uno de los expertos en computación de la policía que rastree más sobre la información del fulano “Don ki-jo-t”. Rápidamente es hallado un video con el título Don ki-jo-t que comenzó como una transmisión en streaming, en el video un joven decía que recibió una invitación especial con un NFT para acceder al Metaverso con un “Huevo de Pascua.”
El detective se percata que la trasmisión original empezó hace una semana, por lo que se abocan en rastrear la dirección IP del computador del chico. Cuando la policía logró ingresar a la casa del video, encuentran en la habitación a un joven moribundo, deshidratado, famélico y en estado de coma, con un casco de realidad virtual, mientras que en la pantalla de su computadora se apreciaba, la perturbadora imagen con rasgos demoníacos de Don ki-jo-t, sobre un fondo rojo.
The detective takes the information as a joke since just thinking that a paranormal entity controls a computer world to kill people amuses him, or at least pigeonhole the informant within the range of hundreds of crazy people who daily call the police with theories.
But something is not right, the detective's police nose alerts him to investigate if there is something beyond his understanding, so he asks one of the police computer experts to track more about the information of the guy "Don ki- jo-t”. A video with the title Don ki-jo-t that started as a streaming broadcast, in the video a young man said that he received a special invitation with an NFT to access the Metaverse with an "Easter Egg."
The detective realizes that the original transmission began a week ago, so they focus on tracking the IP address of the boy's computer. When the police managed to enter the house in the video, they found a dying, dehydrated, starving, and comatose young man in the room, wearing a virtual reality helmet, while the disturbing image was seen on his computer screen. with demonic features of Don ki-jo-t, on a red background.
