Like most people, I like to just cool off and relax my bones during the weekend after a hard work done in the week.
You know, eat, sleep, Netflix, chill, do fun things of sort, as I please. But unfortunately, that's not how that plays. If I get to only relax, what happens to my personal duties, Since the weekdays are reserved for official work? Stuff like cleaning my space, doing the laundry and prepping meals for the week cannot handle themselves.
You might begin to think about why I can't just outsource them. Truth is, I really always cannot afford to. They're neither so expensive nor cheap. With low income and high expenditure, I have to do some of these things myself to save cost, unless in cases I have no option but to pay for them to be done.
It shouldn't be a thing of pride to say, but, I'm quite lazy. I think so. Even at that, certain things are necessary and in order that I fully function, I must handle them.
Sweeping and tidying my space isn't so much a hassle. Doing the dishes isn't. Where I have a problem is with doing my laundry.
Washing is tiring. First I have to start sorting out the dirty stuff, then separating the whites, taking out the clothes that color out and all of that stuff. Laundry just takes up so much time when compared with doing the dishes and sweeping. Quality time that I could use to sleep or do something else meaningful. Then there's the aspect of it taking up so much energy. There's the light wears which I breeze by and then the really tough ones like jeans that require so much effort. I shouldn't complain since I am the one who wears the outfits but I can't help it.
I mostly do the laundry on Saturday, or Sunday if I don't handle it on Saturday. And since the weekend runs by really fast, the laundry takes up a big part of my day.
Well, until I began to join my sister to wssh the way she does, which is daily(not keeping a pile) I always had a heap. And it was fine savjng. But trust me, I don't always do that. Like I said earlier, I can be a lazy ass.
Now, the other hard part is ironing the clothes. Washing and ironing are like two annoying twins. I've been managing fine with taking my already washed clothes to the laundry. That's for those really tough wears that take time to smoothen up. The others, I just run my pressing iron across them to smoothen out the crease a little and I go on my way.
SMH! I can't wait to get a wash machine soon. I can't
So that's it's for what I don't like to do in the weekends. You gat it right there.
Thanks for stopping by.
