One of these creatures is Donkey, a talking donkey who will become Shrek's best friend and with whom he will embark on an adventure to find Princess Fiona, a princess who must be delivered to Lord Farquaad so the fairy tale creatures will leave the swamp. This adventure will be full of humor and many thought-provoking messages. We'll see how Shrek, despite enjoying his solitude, has used this solitude as a shield to protect himself from a world that has always judged him for being an ogre, without knowing that he has feelings and isn't just a beast that bathes in mud. The fun moments are mostly highlighted by Donkey's personality and the action will be Fiona's strong suit, so overall it's a movie that makes us feel various emotions.
It's hard to choose just one scene from a movie full of unique moments, but my favorite is when Donkey discovers that the princess has a spell that turns her into an ogress every night. This gives us a funny scene where Donkey confronts the princess about how someone with certain flaws can criticize those same flaws in someone else.
Among its soundtrack, Shrek features masterful songs that have greatly impacted its sequences. The thrilling opening is thanks to "All Star" by Smash Mouth, "Hallelujah" was responsible for giving the melancholic touch to the sunset scene after Shrek and Fiona walked away and the perfect ending with the song "I'm a Believer" that provides unique energy.
