Rules are made but sometimes its hard to keep especially in a world of technology that brought so much access to social media platforms. And with this people are enjoying themselves in there own choosing lifestyle.
When it comes to texting I could say every individual has their certain rules they live with which is always different from others. And we as individuals has to study people when we come in connect with them because we can鈥檛 force people to live our own lifestyle. Our friends are different in manner of communication from our colleagues in the office. Likewise our neighbors.
I love texting so much as a means of communication and does reach out to people through texting because I could say sometimes its the most effective means to communicate to someone if you don鈥檛 want to make a voice call 馃摫. I feel so free and well articulated when texting and I enjoy using some signs and emoji鈥檚 when am texting especially if am texting a family member, friends and loved 馃グ ones . This is because its an unofficial communication of texting which also saves me time of trying to call all the time.
Although, when it comes to official texting, when dealing with clients online, because sometimes I may want to reach out to a client, his or her number might be busy or switch off, and all I have to do is go on Watsaap and leave a message for the person in an official manner like without emoji鈥檚 because it鈥檚 official. Its direct after greeting. And watsapp is my mean platform for business communication. Instagram being a fun 馃ぉ place to showcase my fashionista lifestyle among friends we meet across the world 馃寧.
And as one who deals with the public in the line and cause of my kind of job, I receive many kind of texting formats. Some people don鈥檛 have time for long messages. Its either its their way of texting which is their rule or because they don鈥檛 have time for long messages. Some don鈥檛 have time for full stops while texting , while some can just send you two words in reply to a lengthy message you sent to them. Its sometimes irritating but if its business there is nothing you can do, having it mind that one day the business will be concluded and over.
But what of if its a brother, sister or friends? This is where we have individual differences. My sisters usually call 馃摫 me instead of texting because they will always want to here my voice, and sometimes the call can last for minutes. Some of my friends prefer to call me on watsapp voice or chat me especially when they call and see that my data is not on. Then I have this brother who irritates me with his method of texting. He will only reply your message with one or two words no matter how long your text message to him is. What? I will exclaimed out. But its his lifestyle and rule which I can鈥檛 change.
However, its very important we should pay attention when texting especially those of us who love 鉂わ笍 to texts instead of calling because sometimes we write 鉁嶏笍 what is not supposed to be let out to someone. The issue here is that when we are in a hurry to say something, not being articulative or paying attention can make us leak a secrete which is a big mistake.
And secondly, we should mind languages we use while texting especially to those we have not met in person to avoid them misunderstanding our motive and direction, because the saying that first impression matters is not only by physically contacts. And to those we know and have regular dealings with, we should always have patience with when replying to them in times of misunderstanding to still keep our personalities proving who we are at all times.
